As an AI Engineer at Boels, you will work in three-week sprints as part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team. You will collaborate closely with a Product Owner, , two business analysts, and two data scientists to design, build, and continuously improve AI-driven solutions. You will be responsible for:
- Design and implement AI solutions, including AI agents, chatbots, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems that support business processes and decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into robust solution designs and provide technical guidance on architecture, technology selection, and strategic AI investments.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, knowledge retrieval mechanisms, and contextual data solutions to ensure accurate and reliable AI performance.
- Evaluate, test, monitor, and optimize AI models and applications for quality, reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify valuable AI use cases, validate concepts through experimentation, and deliver solutions in Agile DevOps teams.
- Share AI expertise by creating technical documentation, mentoring team members, and promoting AI knowledge and best practices across the organization.

What do you bring
- A Bachelor or Master in Data science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or other related field;
- 3-5 years relevant working experience in AI or data science solutions;
- Knowledge of programming (e.g. Python, R, SQL);
- Experience in using AI frameworks, such as LangChain;
- High analytical skills and high conceptual thinking capabilities;
- Communication skills and working pro-actively;
- You are fluent in English both in writing and speaking.
