In this privacy statement, we explain how Boels Rental Limited processes the personal data you provide us with as part of your job application and also how you can exercise your personal data rights.

Boels Rental Limited is responsible for processing the personal data you provide us with as part of your job application.
Which personal data?
We process your contact details (such as your name, age, e-mail address, home address and telephone number) and the personal data in your CV (such as information about your education, qualifications, licences, work experience and references), the data in your motivation letter, information from your LinkedIn page, the outcomes of an assessment (if applicable) and any other documents you have sent us.
The purpose of and grounds for processing personal data
Your personal data will only be used for recruitment and selection purposes and to manage and monitor the application procedure. For example, we use your personal data to contact you with information about the application procedure.
We process your personal data on the ground of a legitimate interest, namely to be able to proceed with the application procedure and enter into an employment contract or similar contract with you if your application is successful. In some cases, we may also ask you for consent to retain your personal data longer - with a view to future positions within our company, for example. If you do consent, this will be considered a ground for the processing of personal data. Any consent you give can be withdrawn again at any time.
How long do we retain your personal data?
If we do not offer you an employment contract, or similar contract, after the application procedure ends, your personal data will be retained for up to four weeks after the date on which the application procedure ends. If you give us your express consent to retain your personal data beyond these four weeks, it will be retained for up to one year after the date on which the application procedure ends. Any consent you give can be withdrawn again at any time.
If we do offer you an employment contract, or similar contract, your personal data will be retained longer. You will receive more information about this after you have been offered a position.
Who do we share your personal data with?
Internally, we only share your personal data with the people involved in your application procedure. For example, employees you might have a job interview with and who have a say on the application process and the relevant HR employees (internal recruiters, for example).
We retain your digital personal data electronically on IT systems that are managed by one or more external IT service providers. We have made clear agreements with all IT service providers that process personal data. These agreements are set out in data processing agreements, in order to safeguard an appropriate level of security.
Accessing, correcting or deleting data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you might previously have given for data processing purposes and to object to the processing of your personal data.

Changes to this privacy statement
This privacy statement may be updated from time to time - in the event of new privacy developments, for example. If important changes are made to this privacy statement during the application procedure, we will tell you about them.
