This is what you will do

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Hire Controller at our Customer Contact Centre (CCC) in Stockport, you will have a versatile and varied role liaising with the sales team and other functions to ensure prompt, efficient and reliable service delivery for our customers. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with customers to fulfil equipment orders over the telephone and via email
  • Processing equipment hire, ensuring the correct administration is carried out 
  • Communicating with external re-hire companies to source equipment
  • Dealing with invoice queries, chasing collections and managing damages
  • Managing on and off-hires, collections and breakdowns
  • Liasing with our sales team, suppliers and depot network to ensure excellent customer service for our customers 
  • Utilising our internal systems to ensure correct administration of the hire

  • A competitive annual salary ranging from £29,000 to £31,000 plus quarterly performance based bonuses. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. It gives you an indication of what you could realistically expect to earn during your tenure in the position. It also takes into account any potential annual salary raises/reviews. Actual salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills/experience, relevant qualifications and performance.
  • 33 leave days of annual leave per year including official bank holidays.

Your Profile

You love solving problems and making our customers happy! We are looking for someone that is -

  • IT literate and experienced in using windows applications
  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Friendly with a courteous telephone manner
  • A strong team player, and enjoys working as part of a team
  • A good knowledge of plant machinery and small tools would be preferrable but not essential as full training will be given
