About the Apprenticeship

You will complete a Level 3 Land-Based Service Engineering Technician qualification at Reaseheath College based in Nantwich, Cheshire East, North West which will take 36 months to complete. Reaseheath deliver agricultural engineering training for leading national and international companies including JCB, Case IH, New Holland. You will be trained by specialist staff in their fully equipped workshops to ensure you gain the technical knowledge required for a successful career in modern engineering.

You will commute to Nantwich 3 times per year for 3 weeks each time on a block release programme. As the apprenticeship requires extensive travel it is preferable that you have a driving licence and car, however this is not mandatory if you are comfortable with public transport (of which all travels costs are covered by the business).

While you’re at college for 3 weeks you will get keys to your own on-site residential accommodation which is fully supported by a 24/7 safeguarding team. You will also receive a food card which covers the cost of meals whilst on campus. In addition, the college has onsite facilities which include:

  • Multiple catering outlets open at various points between 8am until 7pm
  • Under 18 and HE common rooms for you to socialise and relax
  • Student bar in the heart of the campus equipped with a pool table, table tennis and large screen TVs. The courtyard is open as a bar in the evenings for HE students.
  • Access to our state-of-the-art college gym and sports activities
  • Shuttle bus into Nantwich and local shops – specific days and times
  • Free WiFi in all halls
  • Free onsite car parking – you’ll need to obtain a permit from the transport office for this when you start at college
