In this role, you will lead a motivated team of software developers, UI/UX designers, and scrum masters. You will foster a culture of collaboration, coaching, and achieving team goals that align with the broader IT strategy of the company. You will also contribute to driving technological innovations and improving processes, translating Boels’ vision into tangible digital solutions. Boels Rental is known for its culture of inclusivity and open communication, and you will play a crucial role in that.
As Manager in Software Development at Boels you will become a part of an international Management Team, lead by the Head of Software Development. You will be working closely with the other managers, mainly based in Stockholm.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and coach your team: You will be responsible for developing talent within your team, promoting collaboration, and creating an environment where innovation and creativity thrive.
- Achieve strategic team goals: You will ensure the team works on goals that are not only technically challenging but also contribute to the broader business strategy of Boels Rental. This includes setting goals and fostering continuous improvement.
- Lead technological innovation: You will take charge of implementing new technologies such as cloud solutions, microservices, and advanced data analytics tools. Think of integrating AI technologies or optimizing the user experience with state-of-the-art UI/UX design.
- Drive process improvements: By leveraging technology to improve processes, you will make the organization more efficient. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the team always performs at its best.
- Manage supplier relationships: You will maintain relationships with strategic IT suppliers, manage SLAs, and budgets to keep everything on track.
- Culture and inclusion: Boels Rental fosters a work environment where everyone feels valued. You will be responsible for promoting an inclusive culture where feedback is central, ensuring that diversity and collaboration are at the core of your leadership.

What we offer:
- A monthly gross salary between €5.000 and €7.000, based on your experience.
- 28 days of leave per year (and possibility to buy up to 5 additional days).

- Reimbursement of travel expenses to Sittard and if you work partly from home, you will receive an adjusted allowance for that.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Business Administration, or other relevant experience from the technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience in IT, with 3 years in a leadership role. Experience with Agile/SAFe and/or ITIL 4 is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language; Dutch is a plus.
- Broad IT knowledge and have an excellence understanding of software development.
- Strong analytical-, communicativeskills, and capable of leading people through change.
