This is what you will do
Are you looking for an all-round accounting role where you can contribute to the success of an international company? As an Accounting Specialist at Boels, you will be responsible for the entire accounting process, from the accurate handling of invoices to supporting key financial reports. In this role, you will ensure that financial transactions are processed efficiently and contribute to continuous improvements within our finance department.
As part of an international finance team of six, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. You will report directly to the Team Lead Accounting and be involved in the following:
- Managing Invoices: You will handle the full cycle of processing both incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring everything is recorded correctly in our financial systems. This includes Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) tasks.
- Asset and Fleet Mutations: You will take responsibility for processing and managing changes in the asset and fleet register, ensuring all relevant details are up to date and compliant with internal policies.
- VAT Returns: You will prepare VAT returns, both domestic and international, ensuring compliance with various tax regulations.
- Reporting: You will support the preparation of statutory and management reports, providing the financial data needed for decision-making at our head office.
- Process Improvement Projects: In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will participate in projects aimed at improving the efficiency and accuracy of our financial administration, helping Boels remain agile and competitive.
This role requires a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work under deadlines, particularly during financial closures, audits, and compliance reviews.

- A gross monthly salary between € 3,200 and €4,000 based on a 40-hour workweek;

To be successful as an Accounting Specialist at Boels, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in an international finance environment, with relevant experience in financial accounting (AP/AR/GL).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with SAP or a similar system is preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- A team player with a service-oriented attitude who thrives on delivering results.
- A desire to continually learn and develop, taking ownership of your professional growth.
